Challenge:
The primary challenge was to translate Nandez Design Studio’s architectural excellence into a digital format that not only showcases their portfolio but also offers an intuitive and engaging user experience. The goal was to create a website that mirrors the studio’s architectural ethos, providing comprehensive architecture information, a clear sitemap for easy navigation, and an interactive user interface that reflects the studio’s innovative designs.
My Approach:
My strategy was to approach the website as an architectural project in its own right, focusing on structure, user flow, and aesthetics. This involved:
- Deep Diving into Architecture Content: Understanding the essence of the studio’s projects to accurately reflect them online.
- UX/UI Design: Crafting a user interface that embodies the studio’s design principles, ensuring the website is not only visually appealing but also user-friendly.
- Sitemap and Information Architecture: Strategically organizing content to ensure users can easily find information, similar to how one might navigate a well-designed building.
- Web Development: Building the website from the ground up, implementing responsive design principles to ensure accessibility across all devices and platforms.
Solution:
The comprehensive digital strategy included the following key components:
- Architecturally Inspired UX/UI Design: The website’s design drew inspiration from Nandez Design Studio’s architectural projects, incorporating elements like clean lines, a cohesive color scheme, and interactive elements that mimic the studio’s design ethos.
- Intuitive Sitemap: A carefully planned sitemap that guides visitors through the studio’s portfolio, services, and company information, mirroring the thoughtful layout of their architectural projects.
- Interactive Architecture Information: Detailed pages for each project, incorporating virtual tours, galleries, and project details to engage users and provide in-depth insights into the studio’s capabilities.
- Responsive Web Development: A fully responsive website ensuring optimal viewing and interaction experience across a wide range of devices, from desktops to mobile phones.
Outcome:
The studio launched a site that gives each project its own page, gallery and details, and works the same on a phone as on a desktop. The studio reported more time on site and more project inquiries after launch.
The site was planned like a building: structure first, then circulation, then finish.
